One of the most asked questions within the custom in ear monitor industry, apart from “What are custom in ear monitors?” is “Which model is right for me?”

This is always a conversation that we love having in person or on the phone with folks because the conversation is exciting and it gives us a better understanding of what you are looking for. In the past we have worked to make each of our models fulfill a specific purpose for a specific type of use-case, whereas in this iteration of our product line we went for a broader approach.

The goal with all of our IEM models is to be natural, balanced, and musical. If 64 Audio’s house sound is a combination of all of our models, you can absolutely hear that thread through each of them. We wanted to be able to offer our house sound at any price point so you don’t have to be in a position where just because you’re a drummer or a bass player you have to get the most expensive model in your band to fulfill your bass needs.

There is definitely a progression in fidelity as you go up through the range of monitors, but generally speaking you can get that famous 64 Audio sound in everything from the A2e all the way through the A18s.

In order to give a bit more guidance we’ve created this simple guide to describe the characteristics and general personality of each of our custom IEM models.
