Inspiration

While looking towards U12t for sonic inspiration, the U18s influenced the new dark grey matte shell finish, as well as its newly redesigned packaging and proprietary cable. The understated shell design and classic black faceplate reflect what you can expect from the new generation of 64 Audio’s audiophile products.

In standard 64 Audio fashion

By introducing U6t, we’ve created a balanced natural sounding earphone, slightly set apart from our other UIEM models; offering a softer presentation of a mix. Beautiful upper-mid imaging, realistically presenting instruments like guitars and piano as well as breathing life into saturated mid-bass mixes, especially when vocal focused. Using the various included apex modules and ear-tips allows the listener to further customize the sound of the U6t based on the needs of the music.

New Cable.

With U6t we chose to release a new cable that has been in development for quite some time. This new Black Premium Cable offers one of the lowest resistance ratings of any cable available at 0.23 Ohms total impedance. It’s 7 x 7 x 4 Multi-Twist configuration is made of 26 gauge silver plated OCC Copper wire. Not only is it a superior wire topology, this new thicker cable is softer and more supple which reduces microphonics and makes it less susceptible to tangling.

Improvements.

We also chose to remove the memory wire in the ear loop and replace it with a shrink tubing that comfortably conforms the cable to the back of the ear. You still get our classic angled 2-pin jacks but the other end of the cable has been replaced with a straight branded 3.5mm jack as well as a metal branded bifurcation. This cable is being released exclusively with U6t.
