apex technology
When you seal a miniature speaker in an ear canal, the speaker produces air pressure, which is also known as pneumatic pressure. This pneumatic pressure causes your ear drum to move excessively which causes ear fatigue and could even lead to hearing loss. The apex (Air Pressure Exchange) module has been designed to reduce these issues with a pneumatically interactive vent that is at the heart of the new apex module. This module relieves air pressure caused by miniature speakers in a sealed ear canal. Sound quality is dramatically improved with apex, the technology allows you to retain full spectrum sound while minimizing ear fatigue.
About 64 Audio
64 Audio is a Portland, Oregon based custom in-ear monitor (IEM) manufacturer that is committed to making the finest, yet affordable products. In a world of expensive custom in-ear monitors, 64 Audio’s mission is to bridge the gap between price and quality. 64 Audio started as 1964 Ears and was founded by a sound engineer who has been working with musicians, in the Northwest, for more than a decade. During this time he discovered the advantages of IEM’s over traditional floor “wedges.” Not satisfied with what was available, many months went into sourcing, prototyping and field-testing his designs. The result is products that are specifically designed for touring bands, houses of worship and audiophiles.
