Our customer service representatives here at 64 Audio are usually the first to hear the praises from new owners of our IEMs. This is one of the most rewarding aspects of working for a company that produces a high-quality product that people really enjoy and appreciate. Luckily for the rest of us, the news of especially happy customers spreads throughout the team so that we all get to enjoy the positive feedback. Today, we wanted to share some of that feedback with you.
The following is an email that was sent to our customer service department from Rusty, a former anti-in-ear monitor musician and the owner of a brand new pair of A8s. Continue reading to see how the A8s changed his perspective on in-ear monitoring:
“Hi Isabel & the Entire 64 Audio Family,
I used my new A8’s last night for the first time to play in our worship band at church and I am at a loss for words as to how incredible they sounded! I was blown away with the sound I was getting at home on my computer and Presonus Audiobox USB interface, but it pales in comparison to the sound I got playing through our Aviom mixers at church! The low end punch, tone, and definition rivals any speaker cabinet I have ever used!
It was like I was standing in front of a live PA!
I used to play in a classic rock band and I was the only one who did not use in-ears. I refused to even try them because I had recently discovered AccuGroove cabinets, which are custom made, high-end, full-range bass cabinets and for the first time in my 43 years of playing, I was able to get the tone I had always heard in my head. After spending $3000 on speaker cabinets you can understand my reluctance to give them up for in-ears. My hand was forced when I started playing for my church, which uses in-ears exclusively. The Westone’s they supplied made my bass sound like a tin can so I used my Sennheiser headphones. They were big and bulky and looked out of place so I began my quest for some in-ears that would do a better job of getting the sound I had become accustomed to with my AccuGrooves. I didn’t think there was any way to even come close to the AccuGroove sound, but last night I can honestly say that I felt like I was playing through my AccuGroove “El Whappo” cabinet, which is a 4-way cabinet with a 15/12/6/dual tweeter configuration. The sound that you have created with the A8s is nothing short of a miracle! One of the arguments I used to give my band for not getting in-ears was that I liked to “feel” my sound as well as hear it, but last night I felt it tremendously!
You have turned this old school anti-in-ear diehard into your biggest cheerleader! I told everyone in the worship band last night how incredible they sounded. Now our drummer and guitar player are both interested in getting their own sets.
